Salinity Tolerance of Pangasius

Q.  Can Pangasius be cultured in brackishwater?

In the Mekong River in Vietnam where most Pangasius cages are located and where most of the ponds draw out their water, rainy days occurs during the months of August to September.  During these times, the salinity in the river and its tributaries is around 0-3 ppt.   At around November where there is no rainfall, the salinity increases to around 10 ppt and by April to May, the salinity becomes 15 ppt. Pangasius surely grow under these salinities.
